April 25 @ 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Frank Lloyd Wright was influenced by Japanese art and culture. His first encounter with Japanese pavilion design came at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Wright made seven trips to Japan, experiences that would later be reflected in many of his projects, including the B. Harley Bradley House. The Prairie Chapter Members will be on hand to explain the philosophy and work of Ikebana and share membership and learning opportunities. Numerous floral arrangements will be displayed throughout the House.
Wright in Kankakee volunteers will be stationed throughout the first floor of the House, ready to guide those attending and answer questions about the Bradley House. The Gift Shop will also be open during this FREE OPEN HOUSE.
